I wish I could get photos like this on rides. Unfortunately, until I'm okay with several pounds of gear on my back just for photography (ala Scott Markewitz of Bike and Hans Rey adventures fame), I guess snapshots of rides will have to do. Backpacking, on the other hand, lends itself more to the extra weight for a nice camera, a couple lenses, a tripod, etc... I hear Markewitz's photog pack on rides weighs about 20-30 pounds. Ouch!

Looking forward to 2011.

Pixie Death

This years pixie repack was pretty exciting. There was the usual blood spillage,think bp only blood,and mad crashes but it was the course that was the victor again this year. Extremely dry conditions on top of the pikes peak granite as well as the suicidal endurocross course was a cocktail for trouble. I said cocktail.Larger then average race field had the group in a frenzy.
